We understand guns are not for everybody, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be protected.
We offer TASER Self-Defense Civilian user courses for those who want a less-lethal approach to self-defense, as well as a course specifically centered around OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) use. For Private Security personnel, we also offer a handcuffing and restraint course designed to teach the appropriate skills for the safe detention of dangerous subjects.
TASER Self-Defense
TASER Usage for Personal-Defense and Security
Student’s will learn about, and become familiar with the TASER Civilian Series devices to enhance their ability to protect themselves and get to safety. Students will learn about Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) technology, as well as deploy at least one TASER device cartridge to demonstrate appropriate use. After students successfully complete a written exam, they will receive a certificate of completion for the course, showing that they have demonstrated the safe handling and operation of the TASER device. This course certifies private security personnel for use of TASER devices and CEW’s for professional use.

OC Deterrents
Chemical Deterrents and Their Use
Students will learn about the legal and ethical considerations for the responsible use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) deterrents. Student’s will also learn about the safe handling, operation and storage procedures for OC deterrents. Student’s wishing to receive a voluntary exposure must check with their primary health provider prior to attending class. Students must successfully pass a written exam, and deployment of inert OC to obtain a certificate of completion for this course.
Voluntary exposures are VOLUNTARY, and student’s not wishing to be exposed must advise training staff at start of class.
COURSE COST: $150 per student
Mechanical Restraints
Handcuffing Techniques for Private Security
This course covers the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary for the competent use of mechanical restraints in a professional setting. Students will learn the legal and ethical considerations surrounding the usage of mechanical restraint usage in their professional line of duty. Upon completion of a written exam and practical application test, students will receive a certificate of completion for the course.
This course is only available to active civilian private security officers.
