NRA Basic Pistol
Beginner Level
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course allows students to learn the fundamentals of firearm safety, marksmanship and maintenance of their handguns. Upon successful completion of a written test, and basic range qualification, students will receive a certificate of completion for the course, suitable to meet Colorado’s statutory requirement for a Concealed Weapon Permit.
COURSE COST: $120 per student
NRA Basic Rifle
Beginner Level
The NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting course allows students to learn the fundamentals of firearm safety, marksmanship and maintenance of their rifles. Upon successful completion of a written test, and basic range qualification, students will receive a certificate of completion for the course. Student’s bringing their own rifles should have slings and a sighting system already installed.
COURSE COST: $150 per student
NRA CCW
Intermediate Level
The NRA CCW is a two-day course that allows students to learn the legal, psychological and ethical concerns associated with carrying, and using a concealed weapon for self-defense. Students will be taught the considerations for appropriate weapon, holster and carry method selection. This is a live-fire focused class, so expect to be on the range most of the second day.
Prerequisite: NRA Basic Pistol*
COURSE COST: $175
Defensive Pistol
Intermediate Level
This course goes beyond basic concealed carry methods, and focuses on the defensive and practical application of marksmanship for defensive settings. This class has a short classroom portion followed by a predominately range/live-fire oriented curriculum that allows students to test their skills on a static range. This course covers unconventional shooting positions, one-handed manipulations, and move-and-shoot techniques. This course requires students bring a holster, magazine pouches, and at least 500 rounds of ammunition.
Prerequisite: NRA Basic Pistol*
COURSE COST: $350 per student
Tactical Carbine
Intermediate Level
This course focuses on the practical application of a carbine in tactical and defensive scenarios. This class has a short classroom portion followed by a predominately range/live-fire oriented curriculum that allows students to test their skills on a static range. This course covers unconventional shooting positions, weapon transitions, and move-and-shoot techniques. Students are required to bring a handgun and carbine, along with support equipment (holster, sling, mag pouches, etc.), and at least 250 rounds of ammunition per weapon. NO ARMOR-PIERCING OR STEEL-CORE AMMUNITION WILL BE PERMITTED.
Prerequisite: NRA Basic Rifle* & Defensive Pistol*

Private Training
One-on-One Instruction
Need to work on drawing from a holster? Want to learn how to run your gun and get the most out of your platform? Maybe you just want get better groupings. Our instructors provide a friendly, constructive environment for you to build your skills without the pressure of a formal classroom environment or other students to distract you. Let us know what you would like to work on, and we will build a customized lesson plan specifically for you. Only have a few hours free? Not a problem. Our private sessions start at one hour, and can go all day if needed! This option is also great for couples or parents wanting to introduce their family or friends to shooting.
SESSION COST: $50 per hour

Firearms and equipment are available for rental from Pikes Peak Tactical upon request, however arrangements must be made more than 48 hours prior to the start of class. Students needing rental equipment will be charged an additional $25 fee for same-day rentals for class.
